Ishita Kumar, Bachelor of Arts- Honours - Social science

Ishita Kumar ’20 is a King’s Bachelor of Arts Honours – Social Science Gold Medal Award recipient. From New Delhi, India, Kumar moved to Canada in 2016. After King’s, Kumar completed her Master of Science in Statistics program at the London School of Economics and Political Science. “King’s has prepared me well for taking on graduate studies and the road ahead. I received excellent mentorship from my professors. They helped guide me not only through academics, but also through the process of applying to graduate schools,” says Kumar.



Entry Requirements:

If you want to earn a bachelor's degree (e.g., a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS), or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at King’s, you will need to meet our entry requirements.

For entry into Year 1 of bachelor's degree programs, you will typically need to have one of the following:

  • All India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) 
  • Indian School Certificate (awarded by ICSE)
  • Senior Secondary Certificate (awarded by National Institute of Open Schooling – NIOS)

Conditional offers of admissions can be issued on Predicted Standard XII and Standard X results.

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: A successfully completed IB Diploma with a minimum final total score of 25 (including the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge) with no course mark less than 4. Visit our IB Diploma requirements for more details and potential transfer credit. 
  • General Certificate of Education: A minimum average between “B” and “C” in 3 distinct A-Levels (or 4 AS-Levels). Visit our GCE requirements for more details and potential transfer credit. 

Some courses may also have specific subject requirements:

  • Finance and Wealth Management: Grade 12 (Standard XII) Mathematics

You may still be able to apply for entry to our courses if your qualifications are not listed above.  Contact us to inquire. 

If your qualifications do not meet our entry requirements, you could apply for one of the University preparation courses offered by our partner Brescia.


English language requirements

If you are an IB Diploma students, we may accept IB HL English A with a minimum score of 4 as proof of English proficiency.
