Dubbed by The Globe and Mail as the “most successful Canadian author you’ve never heard of,” King’s alumna Jennifer Robson '92 (BA French and History) has written six popular novels set during and after the two world wars.

Book lovers won't want to miss this special reading and discussion on her novel The Gown. Hear insight from Jennifer and ask questions about her book and writing process while enjoying a spot of tea and a scone.

About the book:
With The Gown, Jennifer Robson takes us inside the workrooms where one of the most famous wedding gowns in history was created for then-Princess Elizabeth. Balancing behind-the-scenes details with a sweeping portrait of a society left reeling by the calamitous costs of victory, she introduces readers to three unforgettable heroines, their points of view alternating and intersecting throughout its pages, whose lives are woven together by the pain of survival, the bonds of friendship, and the redemptive power of love.

Location: Spriet Learning Commons, Darryl J. King Student Life Centre or online
