King’s Research Methods Prerequisites and Course Equivalencies

For all students at King’s University College who are interested in taking senior level Psychology courses at King’s, Psychology 2840F/G is a mandatory prerequisite that must be completed BEFORE any courses at the at the 3000-level or above can be taken.

For students registered at Western or any Affiliate Campuses (Brescia or Huron), the following courses are considered to be “equivalent” to Psychology 2840F/G, and must be successfully completed BEFORE any King’s Psychology courses at the 3000-level or above can be taken:

  • Western University students require Psychology 2801F/G AND 2802F/G (or the former Psychology 2800E)
  • Brescia University College students require Psychology 2855F/G AND 2856F/G
  • Huron University College students require Psychology 2830A/B

Psychology 2840F/G (or any of the aforementioned course equivalents) cannot be taken concurrently with any courses that require it as a prerequisite. You MUST complete these courses before you are able to enroll in any King’s Psychology courses at the 3000-level or above.
