The King's Promise is making a commitment to employers that our students are equipped with the competencies, values and knowledge to advance their organization. We commit to working with employers in London and throughout the world so they will understand and value the unique talents that King’s students bring to the workplace.

Throughout their 4 years of undergraduate study, students in the King’s Promise program complete 15 co-curricular activities to support their career development, enhance pre-employment skills, engage in experiential learning opportunities, gain tangible workplace experience, and develop the language necessary to identify and articulate the value of transferrable skills and holistic competencies.

Employers are welcome to get involved in a number of ways, such as:

  • Offer a one-day Job Shadow opportunity to students
  • Offer a 4-month summer internship to a Social Science or Humanities student
  • Post an open position to our Job Board
  • Visit King’s to participate in a Career Fair or similar recruitment event (email us for upcoming dates)

Interested in learning more or getting involved? Please reach out by email to thepromise@kings.uwo.ca.

Please note: King's promotes paid internship opportunities for students. For employers facing financial barriers to offering paid internships, there are some government subsidies available to help with the cost of paying interns. For more information on these subsidies please visit http://www.hirewesternu.ca/hire_western_talent/recruiting_at_western/wage_subsidy_information.html.
