Virtual Open House shows why King's is a place to be

Are you or someone you know interested in attending King’s? Join us at King’s upcoming virtual Open House, taking place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Future students, their families, friends and other supporters, will have an opportunity to discover why King’s is a place to be and a place to become.

By registering for the Open House, future students will be able to learn more about admission requirements, King’s degree programs, student services, scholarships, work study programs, the King’s Promise and much more.

“Our faculty, staff and student ambassadors are very eager to create an engaging atmosphere for students during the event. We understand the challenges of making decisions about post-secondary education. Attending an Open House event is a great way to connect with faculty, staff and current students to have all questions answered about starting university. We are committed to offering students support, as well as providing them with the information they need to make an informative decision about post-secondary education,” says Alexis Christie, Coordinator, On-Campus Events.

Like Open Houses in the past, future students can attend information sessions, albeit now via Zoom meetings. Each program/department will be hosting a 30-minute presentation to discuss the program and to answer any questions from prospective students. Faculty members and student representatives will explain the range of opportunities available within their programs and share perspectives on each department’s learning environment. There will be three separate Zoom sessions, two for programs and/or departments and one for support services at Kings.

Future students will also be able to take a virtual tour of the King’s campus, learning how to navigate the campus before they arrive to study.

Those attending the Open House will have the chance to win three Series 3 Apple watches and four gift cards to the King’s Connection store. One of the Apple watches will be drawn on the morning of the Open House from those pre-registered and will be announced on Experience King’s Instagram. The other two watches will be randomly drawn from those in attendance at the sessions. The gift cards will be drawn from those who attend the support services sessions and receive a code word, to be entered on Experience King’s Instagram Stories.
