Apply for government funding

Government Student Financial Aid is a way to help fund your university education. The Federal Government’s website offers an overview of education planning for students within and outside of Ontario. If you are an Ontario resident and need help paying for your education, visit ontario.ca/osap to see if the Ontario Student Assistance Program can help you.

Ontario Students:

We strongly recommend that you apply for OSAP, even if you think that you will not receive funding. You should apply for OSAP at https://www.ontario.ca/osap as soon as the application becomes available. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for OSAP applications to be processed.

All students should apply by June 30 for funding for September.

OSAP applications generally take 4-6 weeks to process.

Once you have completed the above steps, be sure to keep checking your Western e-mail, as this is our preferred method of communication with our students.  We look forward to seeing you in September!
