September Admissions Checklist

Congratulations and welcome to the King’s community! This is a new and exciting experience, and may be overwhelming at first. Do not worry; we are here to support you. If you need any support during your transition to King's, please contact info@kings.uwo.ca.

All students admitted to King's must attend a Summer Academic Orientation (SAO) appointment. During this appointment, you will meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss your program goals, prepare your timetable and enroll in your courses.

Important Links for King's Students:

  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TUITION DEPOSIT

    • This link is for international students to submit the mandatory tuition deposit payment.

  • Student Statement of Account (Money Matters: Student Finance Portal)
    Your student statement of account will only show a balance owing once you have registered in your courses.  King’s students are not able to view their tuition account balances through Western’s Student Center.  You will have to view your statement of account through the King’s Student Finance portal.

    • Check your outstanding balance
    • View all credits and debits on your account
    • View scholarship amounts
    • Updated bi-weekly

    • Print tax forms for next year

    • Print your timetable (including room numbers)
       
  • Western E-mail
    • This is the E-mail address that King's will use to contact you; ensure that you activate it and check it on a regular basis

    • Communicate with professors and classmates
    • Retrieve course outlines
    • Submit papers/assignments
    • View lecture slides from classes

Accept your offer online

If you applied to King's on the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC), please visit the OUAC website to accept your offer:  http://www.ouac.on.ca

If you did not apply through the Ontario University Application Centre, please refer to your Offer of Admission letter for instructions on how to accept.

 Please accept your offer as soon as possible.
Activate your Western Identity
     Requires:
  • ACCESS Code/PIN
  • Student Number:
    25X XXX XXX

Your "Western Identity" refers to your Western/King's email account, and username/password for all student accounts.

If your ACCESS code/PIN is not located on your Offer of Admission letter, please click here to retrieve it.
Your student number can be found at the top right of your Offer of Admission letter from King's.

After activating your Western Identity, it is required to set up MFA (Multi- Factor Authentication). Please follow these steps: https://mfa.uwo.ca/steps_to_setup_mfa.html. Failing to set up MFA will result in your email being disabled.

 Please activate your Western Identity PRIOR to attending your Summer Academic Orientation (SAO) appointment.

Residence application

Residence is guaranteed to first year King's students if they submit both their application and deposit before June 3. If you have questions about Residence, please contact them via email.

Program and Course Counselling

Apply for government funding

Government Student Financial Aid is a way to help fund your university education. The Federal Government’s website offers an overview of education planning for students within and outside of Ontario. If you are an Ontario resident and need help paying for your education, visit ontario.ca/osap to see if the Ontario Student Assistance Program can help you.

Ontario Students:

We strongly recommend that you apply for OSAP, even if you think that you will not receive funding. You should apply for OSAP at https://www.ontario.ca/osap as soon as the application becomes available. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for OSAP applications to be processed.

All students should apply by June 30 for funding for September. 

OSAP applications generally take 4-6 weeks to process.
