Celebration of Graduates

Thursday, June 12, 2025

Graduates and their guests are invited to begin the day at King’s with a 9:00 a.m. Mass, celebrated by Bishop Fabbro, followed by our annual Blessing and Awards Ceremony at 10:30 a.m., featuring remarks from King’s Valedictorian, Ali Walker, as we celebrate our graduates, award recipients, and academic community.

Later in the afternoon, all King’s graduates will cross the stage in a single ceremony at Canada Life Place, Western’s new convocation venue, at 3:00 p.m. This space offers improved accessibility and a larger capacity, ensuring a comfortable and memorable experience for graduates and guests alike. 


Schedule of Events

Celebrate at King’s (morning & early afternoon)
 

9:00 AMMass at Christ the King Chapel (optional, limited seating for 50)
9:30 AM – Complimentary beverages available in Labatt Hall (coffee, tea, infused water)
10:00 AM – Line-up in Cardinal Carter Library for the King’s Procession of Graduates (students)
10:30 AMBlessing & Awards Ceremony in Labatt Hall with Bishop Fabbro and Valedictorian Ali Walker (Can’t be there in person? Tune in here to watch the ceremony live!)
11:30 AM–1:00 PM – Light lunch reception and campus photo opportunities


Western Convocation ceremony (afternoon)

1:00 PM – Graduate arrival at Canada Life Place (must arrive no later than 1:45 p.m. to pick up regalia and call card)
2:00 PM – Guest admission begins
3:00 PM – Convocation ceremony begins (If guests can’t attend in person, they can still celebrate with you online via Western's livestream.)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Shuttles & Parking
  • Free parking will be available at King’s (in campus lots and along Waterloo Street).
  • Shuttle service between King’s and Canada Life Place runs from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM, making it easy to travel between campus and the downtown venue. Accessible transportation is available. Please email convocation@kings.uwo.ca in advance to make accessibility arrangements.
  • Additional parking options are available downtown. Visit Canada Life Place Parking for more details.
Tickets

Each graduate receives four guest tickets (with the option to request more, if needed). Reserve guest tickets here. Please note, graduates will not receive an email from the Office of the Registrar with details about ticket allocations. Instead, you’ll need to log back into the ticketing system after June 3 to see how many extra tickets you’ve been granted.

Regalia

Regalia Pickup
Pick up your regalia for your afternoon ceremony beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Canada Life Place. You will need your Western ONECard or government-issued photo ID to pick up your regalia. Graduates must rent regalia on-site if they did not preorder.

Regalia Dropoff
Regalia drop-off will be available at Canada Life Place, Gate 4 until 7:00 p.m. Alternatively, drop-off on Western's campus will be available after 7:00 p.m. through a regalia drop-off box outside the Dellelce Family Bookstore.

If you did not pre-order your regalia by the May 30 deadline, you will have to rent regalia on-site at Canada Life Place.

Diplomas and Frames
  • Diplomas will be distributed after crossing the stage. For diploma pick-up or delivery, visit Western's Diploma Services page.
  • Degree Frames: Proudly honour your achievement by having your degree displayed and preserved in a beautiful frame custom-made in Canada for King's University College graduates. Frames can be purchased online or on-site at the King's Connection during the lunchtime reception at King's on Convocation Day.
