The King’s Undergraduate Research Journal is a student-led initiative that began in 2016. The KURJ is a registered academic journal in Canada, which means that it is available for citation, and is part of academic discourse around the globe. The KURJ provides students with the opportunity to have their work published, work closely with King’s faculty, and showcase their intellectual achievements.

Articles eligible for inclusion in the journal are selected by faculty from each participating department in early December; students whose work is selected will be contacted shortly thereafter. Then, students will work with a faculty member from that department and the executive team of the journal to edit the work until it is ready to be included in the final manuscript, which is completed by early March.

The King’s Undergraduate Research Journal is an annual publication at King’s University College and is funded by the King’s University College Student’s Council.
