Welcome to the Academic Advising Office!

We help students plan their programs and courses, find accurate degree information, resolve academic issues, and develop strategies for success. Our academic advisors and counsellors can help navigate the best match between personal goals and our academic programs, advise on problems that are affecting studies, assist in checking degree requirements, and make appropriate referrals. We support students throughout their time at King's.

On Tuesday, April 29th we will be holding drop-in hours between 10:00AM and 12 noon. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the session. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. All other drop-in times this week will take place at the regular scheduled times

ADVISING OFFICE PAUSING DROP-IN AND APPOINTMENTS DURING ADJUDICATION

Adjudication season is almost here, and so the Advising Office will  pause drop-in hours and appointments from May 5 - May 30 ,  as the team will be busy adjudicating student records for graduation, progression, and admission into programs.

Students will be able to check their adjudication comments on Student Center in early June by clicking on Academics -> Program Status -> Grade Report-Progression.

During this time, students with general questions or concerns about their summer courses may still come into the front office (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. M-F) or email us directly: academic.counselling@kings.uwo.ca

The academic consideration form is still available for student who miss an assessment:  https://www.kings.uwo.ca/current-students/courses-enrolment/exams-and-tests/academic-consideration-requests/

The Advising Team looks  forward to meeting with students again during regular drop in, starting June 2, and appointments will resume June 9th.

Drop-in Sessions - 10 minutes

Drop-ins are the fastest way to meet with an advisor.  These short appointments are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoons between 1:30 and 3:30PM and Friday mornings between 10am and 12 noon. Check-in will be available 30 minutes prior to the start of drop-in.  Prepare for your session by reviewing the courses you’ve completed, your program checklist, and by drafting your schedule and enabling sharing.

Use the Cardservices Check-in to check-in for drop-in hours at the computers in our lobby or where ever you are! Choose  virtual or in-person drop-in. You will receive an email 10 minutes prior to your appointment time with, depending on your choice, the directions to come to the waiting room or containing the zoom link for your meeting.

Book an Appointment

If your questions need a longer time with a counsellor than drop-in can provide, you can book an appointment. Appointments are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings or Friday afternoons. You can request an appointment using the Advising Appointment Request form. Provide as much detail/availability as possible, within 2 business days you will receive an email confirming the date/time/format of your appointment. Please do not email individual counsellors for appointments, all appointments are booked through the Main Advising Office.
