Savaughn Magnaye-Jones headed to the CFL

Congratulations to King’s student-athlete Savaughn Magnaye-Jones, who has been signed by the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Magnaye-Jones, a fourth-year BMOS Specialization in Finance and Administration student, was a receiver for the Western Mustangs and is coming off a season where he caught 33 passes for 579 yards and nine touchdowns. Over his 26 games with the Mustangs, he caught 79 passes for 1,524 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Magnaye-Jones was named a 1st Team All Canadian for the 2021 season, an achievement he repeated in 2022. He was awarded a Purple Blanket during the 82nd annual Mustang Awards on April 6, 2023.
He was also one of four King’s student-athletes who attended the (CFL) National Combine in Edmonton from March 22-26, 2023. The combine allows CFL teams to gauge prospects' work on the field and their abilities to learn systems, process information and adapt to feedback
