King’s 2018-2019 United Way campaign culminated in a cheque presentation to United Way Elgin Middlesex on April 11, 2019.

Members of the United Way Committee Tiffany Chisholm and Dr. Jeff Preston, Professor of Disability Studies, presented a cheque for $25,194.10 at a special ceremony in the King Student Life Centre. Aness Symons, Anne-Marie Rodger and Allyson Fuller gratefully accepted the cheque for United Way Elgin Middlesex.

“United Way Elgin Middlesex is incredibly thankful to the wonderful community at King’s University College for its ongoing support and enthusiasm for creating lasting, positive change. This contribution is not only a wonderful accomplishment but a much-needed boost of encouragement to our 56 funded agencies who aid our most vulnerable citizens. With this support from King’s, we are truly creating a community where everyone matters.” said Rodger.

The donation to the United Way included payroll deductions, the Strawberry Social held in July, the Silent Auction in December and KINGO and a 50/50 draw held at the staff Christmas party.
