Bridging Assistant Applications
King’s International Bridging Assistant Position, 2025 - 2026
Position Objective:
Support and welcome new international and exchange students at King’s, helping them transition to university life and adapt to Canadian culture through guidance, engagement, and community-building initiatives.
Time Commitment:
Bridging Assistants must be available for the intensive program period from Sunday, August 23 to Sunday, August 31, 2025. Additionally, there will be ongoing but lighter commitments between September 1 and October 10, including check-ins, social events, and other program-related support as needed.
Training:
Bridging Assistants attend a mandatory day of training, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with King’s International and assist with all aspects of the Bridging Program
 - Collaborate with fellow Bridging Assistants to organize and lead events for incoming students
 - Serve as an orientation leader, providing guidance and support to new international and exchange students
 - Guide students on off-campus and out-of-town excursions
 - Staff the welcome booth throughout the week, offering information and assistance to new students.
