Than Clan - Grief and Spirituality

Reverend Carol Burrows is a practicing medium and local spiritualist leader in our London community. She is coming out to lecture about grief and spirituality on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 4:30-6:00 pm. 

Carol is excited to share her perspective and has been guest lecturing at Fanshawe College for their death and dying course for the past three years. As many of us know, spirituality is a major component in the grieving process and this experience will allow students to learn more about it than the classroom environments. Carol welcomes skeptics, believers, agnostics, and whatever! All religious and spiritual beliefs are welcomed. The purpose of the event is to learn more about how these two fields overlap and how there can be benefits to a more holistic approach, especially if conventional grief counselling is failing. After all, in Thanatology, our program is about normalizing and facilitating an individual's grieving. As many of us know, this is a highly individualistic process and will include a variety of beliefs about the world. Medium’s are something we have to encounter in the real world. This is a great chance to learn and ask more questions! : ) 

We will also be having our very own Than Clan member Bobbie providing tarot card readings! Bobbie serves the local community as a healing guide, and this type of reading is not a reading of your future, but rather an intense spiritual experience that may hit on personal and challenging issues facing your life in general. It is a much more self-reflective process.
