King’s has long been known as “a place to be, a place to become and a place to belong” and one of the many reasons we can say that is because of our wonderful students. They come from around the globe to learn, live and experience student life on our campus. The Fall Student Appreciation Week, taking place November 21-25, will be King’s opportunity to show our appreciation, with a focus on student health and wellness.

“November is a heavy month for many students – midterms, assignments due, the change to colder weather and the decrease in daylight. We want students at King’s to know they are valued and appreciated, and we are so glad they chose to be members of the King’s community. We hope all students take a few moments to enjoy the events we have planned,” says Doreen Vautour, Associate Dean of Students.

The Residence and Campus Life Office, with the contributions from various areas at King’s, have organized a week of events to make November a little brighter for students. There will be free snacks including popcorn, and treats from Marble Slab and Donut Diva, and wellness events like dance classes hosted by BRDRLESS Dance, and a Study and Wellness Night.

There will also be a prize draw for gift cards and King’s swag. Prize ballots will be available at Student Appreciation Week events and the Student Service offices.

“We have a few special surprises for student leaders this week, too, to recognize the contributions they make at King’s,” adds Vautour.
