King’s University College has long held Open Houses to give future students, their families and friends an opportunity to visit our campus, meet current students, faculty and staff, and learn more about the programs and services offered by King’s.

With the COVID-19 pandemic mandating social distancing, the Open Houses normally held in March and May have been converted to Virtual Open House to be held throughout the month of May to introduce future students to the King’s experience.

Future students can register at https://www.kings.uwo.ca/future-students/open-house/. Those registering will receive a confirmation email with a link and password to access all of the information sessions held throughout the month of May. As in past Open Houses, there will be a draw from registrants for King’s swag.

“The Virtual Open House captures the King’s community in a virtual sense. Even though we are very disappointed that we cannot physically welcome students to our campus, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to meet them virtually. Through these virtual sessions, we aim to showcase the ‘best of both worlds’ experience we offer, which is a strong community at King’s within the larger Western University family,” says Aziz Sayegh, Coordinator, On Campus Events.

Like Open Houses in the past, future students can attend information sessions, albeit now via Zoom meetings. Faculty members and student representatives will explain the range of opportunities available within their programs and give perspectives on each department’s learning environment. Future students will be able to ask questions, either by pre-submitting them on the registration form or in real-time during the virtual sessions. There is also the opportunity to learn more about the range of student supports available on campus.

“These virtual sessions will hopefully recreate the same warm and welcoming experiences (as previous Open Houses),” says Sayegh.
