Pictured from left to right: Connor Wilson, first year Sociology; Jon Hodge, third year Global Commerce; and Aaron Schneebeli, fourth year majoring in Political Science each won an award at the OUA award ceremony held in Burlington on November 2, 2017.

Wilson was awarded West Rookie of the Year. He’s the first Mustang to win this award since 2008. “The western soccer team had a great season and I had a great first year experience,” said Wilson. Wilson was a strong player for the Mustangs which finished fourth in the West Division.

Schneebeli and Hodge both earned spots on the Second-Team All-Stars. This is Schneebeli’s fourth, consecutive year on the team. He also represented Canada at the 2017 International University Sports Federation (FISU) Summer Universiade held in Taipei, Taiwan in August. For Hodge it’s the  first time he has been honoured in this way and it is and something he has been working towards since his rookie year. “To make an All-Stars team is a great accomplishment and honour. I'm hoping to improve as a player and become a First-Team All-Stars next year,” said Hodge.

Congratulations Hodge, Schneebeli and Wilson on your OUA success.
