A message from Dr. David Malloy, King's Principal:

To the King’s Community,

I want to personally thank you all for your courage and cooperation as we make our way through these uncharted waters. In times of crises, (though none ever like this) I pour through my copies of philosophers and writers looking for their inspiring words of wisdom to give me perspective and peace.

This past week, I have needed to look no further than to each of you for inspiration. The degree of calm and caring behaviour, of dedication to this wonderful institution, and the skilled and complex analysis of an unprecedented situation has been outstanding.

While we work our way through this bizarre reality, please take sincere care of yourself, your loved ones, and please never stop supporting this place.

“stay strong through your pain
grow flowers from it
you have helped me
grow flowers out of mine so
bloom beautifully
dangerously
loudly
bloom softly
however you need
just bloom”

(Rupi Kaur, Milk and Honey, 2014)
