As part of the celebrations for the Feast of Christ the King, students will be recognized for their hard work and commitment to the King’s Community. Student Appreciation Days will begin on Monday, November 19 and continue to Friday, November 23.

During this week, students are welcomed to fruit and treats available in student lounge areas such including the Student Financial Services Office, Academic Dean’s Office, Dean of Students Office, Cardinal Carter Library, Residence Office, King’s Connection, and the Office of Social Work.

A special prize draw will be held on Friday, November 23 for a variety of prizes (ballots can be found at each of the areas above). Some of the prizes include:

  • $25 Aramark dining card x 2
  • King’s Sweatshirt
  • $25 bookstore gift card x 2
  • King’s zip up hoodie
  • $25 King’s Connection gift certificate
  • King’s backpack
  • Free 2 week parking pass

Daily there will be special student sales on merchandise at King’s Connection, along with student appreciation specials in the cafeteria.

“This is a time where the administration, staff and faculty can show King’s students our appreciation,” says Doreen Vautour, Residence Coordinator and Manager. “We recognize that one of the greatest strengths of the King’s community is the student body. We hold this event because we want our students to know that we care.”

Throughout the week there will be special appreciation surprises:

Monday, November 19:

  • 20% off all regular priced clothing at King’s Connections

Tuesday, November 20:

  • 20% off all regular priced clothing at King’s Connection

Wednesday, November 21:

  • ½ price school supplies

Thursday, November 22:

  • Purchase of any hat and receive a discount of $9.95 on the purchase a King’s scarf with
  • Complimentary coffee and treats in the cafeteria and Labatt Hall lobby from 9:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (served by faculty and administration)

Friday, November 23:

  • 20% off the regular price of any item
  • Prizes drawn at 4:00 p.m.
