From November 18 – December 9, 2021, students will have an opportunity to provide their feedback as part of the first-term term Student Questionnaire on Courses and Teaching (SQCT).

By providing this feedback, students will be able to positively affect King’s going forward. The results will assist departments and schools with course planning. At the same time, because results are available to students, they will be able to use the information for course selection.

“Student responses to the Student Questionnaire on Courses and Teaching are used by individual instructors, and Departments/Schools to aid in the development and course design for the upcoming academic year. Student Feedback matters and is a vital component of the planning process at King’s,” says Thomas Gray, Manager, Academic Planning and Analysis.

Students will receive a link to the online survey via email from Western University. The survey will focus on each of their courses and instructors’ teaching. Because the surveys are anonymized by Western, the instructor will be unable to associate the feedback with individual students.

The survey consists of 15 questions including four demographic questions and 11 scaled questions. Two comment boxes will also be provided to allow for written comments from students.

Faculty will give students 15 minutes at the beginning of each class for students to respond on their devices. The survey can be completed on any device, on or off campus. Gray estimates it should take between three to five minutes to complete the questionnaires.

Students who complete at least one Student Questionnaire on Courses and Teaching (SQCT) using the Your Feedback system between November 18 – December 9, 2021, will be entered into a random prize draw for one of five $500 Amazon.ca Gift Cards. Each questionnaire completed during the three-week feedback period will count as one entry into the draw.
