As King’s prepares for a blended curriculum for the fall, King’s Residence has also made plans for the September move-in.

These measures will include:

  • All residence rooms will be single occupancy (one student per room, no roommate)
  • Assigned washroom locations for each resident
  • An extension of the residence deposit refund deadline. The full $600 deposit will be refundable until August 31, 2020.

“We are implementing these changes to address pandemic-related safety concerns and ensure residents and their families have greater peace of mind,” says Doreen Vautour, Associate Dean of Students, Residence and Campus Life – Student Affairs.

King’s Residence remains committed to providing a top-notch experience for all residents.  A variety of programs and initiatives, appropriate for the COVID-19 environment, are being developed to support students during the transition to university. King’s is consulting with Public Health and working with experts on- and off-campus to create residence programming that highlights both in-person and online community development and support.

There will be updates made to the King’s community throughout the summer.

“We know some things will be different in residence and on campus this year, but we also know some things will remain the same - the care and support offered by the residence staff is definitely one of those things,” says Vautour.
