King’s University College is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Jana Gordon, M.A., C.F.R.E., as the new Executive Director, Alumni and Development, effective August 13, 2018. Ms. Gordon’s appointment follows a national search by the Selection Committee, composed of representatives of faculty, staff, students and the Board of Directors and chaired by Ms. Marilyn Mason, Vice-Principal, Enrolment Services and Strategic Partnerships.

“King’s is delighted that Jana will be joining us. The selection committee was unanimous in its decision and is excited by her extensive experience and commitment to education,” says Ms. Mason.

Ms. Gordon joins King’s as an accomplished, results-oriented leader drawing on expertise in the fields of non-profit management, fundraising, and public accounting.  She brings an international outlook to the position with experience at leading organizations in the USA, England and Canada. Previous roles include Assistant Vice-President, Development & Campaign Director at Wilfrid Laurier University, Director of Development & Donor Relations at the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Director of Development at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Corporate Giving Sales Manager with English National Opera, among others. She also contributes to community development in Southwestern Ontario through volunteerism as a member of the Board of Directors of the Centre In The Square, Kitchener, and she has served in various roles with the Sun Life Financial UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, and the United Way.
