King’s is celebrating Earth Day early with King’s Campus Green Up on Friday April 21, 2017. All are welcome to help tidy up the campus at 10 a.m. in front of Wemple Hall. The event goes until 11 a.m. but even a few minutes of help from the community will go a long way.

Bring your reusable mug to enjoy some hot chocolate which Aramark Food Services will be donating for the event. King’s Physical Plant is providing trash bags and gloves. The event is organized by The Green Team at King’s which is comprised of staff and faculty.

Care for the environment is a pillar of King’s values. The university also has solar power generating panels and a Silver LEED certified Student Life Centre. As well, King’s is home to the endangered Chimney Swift.
