On Monday, November 25, 2019 King’s announced and distributed over 168 awards and scholarships, totalling approximately $230,000 as part of the Student Awards Ceremony, held in the Joanne and Peter Kenny Theatre.  Approximately 300 people, including recipients, donors, family and friends attended the ceremony.

It was an opportunity for the King’s community to acknowledge the accomplishments of some of King’s finest students and the support of generous donors. King’s is proud to be able to support our students in many different ways, including financially.  Over $2 million in scholarships and awards is awarded annually.

“These awards are an indication of not only the good work you’ve done but you as an ambassador of King’s and we value this very, very highly. These awards are obvious indications of your hard work,”  said Dr. David Malloy, King’s Principal in addressing the students as part of the ceremony.

“Student awards, scholarships, and bursaries make real differences in the lives of our students by alleviating financial burdens, allowing students to not only focus on their studies but also allowing them to pursue volunteer work and extracurricular activities that are so important to a student’s university life. We thank our donors for their generosity in making these awards possible and for their positive and direct impact on our students,” says Jana Gordon, Executive Director, Alumni and Development.
