Dr. Kelly Regan, a London physician, has been appointed Chair, Board of Directors, of King’s University College. Dr. Regan succeeds Mayor Dan Mathieson, City of Stratford, as Chair. She is supported in her role by Vice-Chair Father Mark Sargent. The appointments were effective July 1, 2017. The King’s Board also welcomed three new members, Dr. Christie MacDonald, Dr. Hassan Mostafa, and Ms. Amy Cronin.

Dr. Regan has been a member of the Board since 2010, most recently as Vice-Chair since 2015. She is a previous member of the Board’s Employee Relations Committee. Along with her professional work as an Adult Emergency Physician at London Health Sciences Centre (since 1991), Dr. Regan is an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. She is committed to the health and education of youth through her work at King’s, Western and in the wider community.

“My expectation is that we conduct ourselves with the Catholic values of respect, integrity love, and dignity for all people, always with a student-centered focus here at King’s,” said Dr. Regan in her inaugural address to the Board as Chair.

She thanked past-chair, Mayor Mathieson, for his expertise in negotiations and governance. Dr. Regan commended Mayor Mathieson for his work that “steered the Board in a progressive and creative direction”, she stated.
