Father Paul Kim ’08 has returned to King’s as the new part-time Priest-Chaplain of Christ the King University Parish and King’s University College. He began in his new role on July 5, 2021.

Father Paul describes his new role as two-fold. He will provide for the pastoral and spiritual needs of the parishioners of Christ the King University parish. He will also serve the students, staff, faculty as well as the office of the Campus Ministry team with spiritual and faith-based support.

Father Paul, born and raised in London, graduated from King's in 2008 with an Honours Specialization in French Language and Literature with a Minor in History.

“Being a King’s alumni and returning in this role comes as quite the surprise. I never would have thought of returning in this capacity. Growing up in the Broughdale neighborhood and walking on campus where my post-secondary journey all began, is still very surreal, and a blessing,” says Father Paul.

“I hope to be a vessel to build bridges for parishioners, staff and students to grow in their relationship with God, as well as being a presence to anyone in need. Under the direction of the Campus Ministry team, I hope to create a culture where all are welcome and feel safe to dialogue about life’s great questions, the challenges and joys of life, as well as collaboratively serve the needs both on campus and in the wider community,” says Father Paul.

In addition to his ministry at the Christ the King University Parish, Father Paul will also serve as Parochial Vicar of St. Michael's Parish in London.

Welcome back to King’s, Father Paul.
