King's is pleased to welcome Terra Ahrens '94 as the new Executive Director of Foundation and Alumni and Development. She will begin her new role on August 8, 2023. In this dynamic role, Ahrens will lead the Alumni and Development team, which works closely with the Foundation Board and the Alumni Association to engage with donors, alumni, corporations, foundations, parents and families of students, as well as local and national community members. The mandate of the King's University College Foundation is to raise support for King's University College through the deployment of an appropriate mix of fundraising programs and campaigns, prudent management of funds, and thoughtful stewardship of donors' intentions.

Ahrens graduated from King's in 1994 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts. "I am thrilled to be returning to my alma mater in a leadership role. It's an incredible opportunity to leverage my knowledge and affinity for the institution in order to contribute to its advancement through strategic and thoughtful alumni engagement and development," says Ahrens.

Ahrens brings extensive fundraising and alumni relations experience to her new role at King's. Since 2006, she has held a series of leadership roles at Western University. These roles include the Director of Alumni Relations & Development, Faculty of Engineering; Director of Development, Sports & Recreation; and Development Officer, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and  Corporations. Previously, she worked at Ivey Business School as Associate Director, Stewardship and Associate Director, Individual Giving.

Reporting to Ahrens will be a team of professionals responsible for fundraising, alumni and community engagement, and supporting all areas of the College. They lead a number of key events for the King's community, including Homecoming and special events for 24,000 King's alumni around the world.
