Lunch and Learn: Trans Inclusive Conversations
The Social Work Students' Association invites you to attend the first lunch and learn of 2016-17. This event is featuring guest speaker Kieran Duby. Kieran is a a child protection worker at a Child and Family Services agency in the Tri-Cities. The focus of this one-hour lunch 'n learn event will be on Kieran's experience of transitioning and the positive impact of the agency being inclusive. This will be followed by a brief Question and Answer period. The event will end with a brief introduction of a local initiative to promote the health and equity of LGBT2SQ+ community members via a "Standards of Practice." The initiative targets local business, social service agencies and service providers to build capacity in the community.
