King’s welcomes students and faculty from the University of Winchester, England. Joining us are Victoria Williams, Olivia West, Dr. Rachel Harrison and Dr. Martine Wilkinson. This exchange is facilitated by the Childhood and Social Institutions (CSI) department at King’s and the Childhood Youth and Community department at the University of Winchester in England.

This unique three week exchange brings together Canadian and English students for a seminar discussing childhood and social institutions with a focus on social and educational policy.

Dr. Pat Ryan, King’s CSI professor, says the exchange is a valuable opportunity to learn and compare the childhood and social institutions between Canada and England. This exchange is an opportunity for students to experience each others’ cultures, family structures, and linguistics. Above all, to build life-long friendships and most importantly to have fun.

The students and faculty from the University of Winchester will be on campus until May 17. King’s students travelled to England earlier this spring.
