A group of 29 students from five secondary schools in Brazil have arrived at King’s for the 2nd annual Canadian Summer Experience program. The students will take English language classes as well as a variety of creative arts programs including photography, drama and music. As well, the group will travel to several places across Southern Ontario including Niagara Falls, Stratford, Grand Bend and Toronto. While in Toronto the students will experience the PanAm Games – which will be fitting as they travelled to Canada on the same plane as the Brazilian volleyball team!

The students are between 12 to 18 years of age, and, for many this is their first trip abroad. They are accompanied by two faculty and several of the King’s Peer guides, who will spend time with the students to help them practice English. Some fun events planned at King’s, during their time in residence here, include “Christmas in July”, bonfires and movie nights in the Kenny Theatre.
