King’s now has a new club, aimed towards supporting the many international students: the King’s International Association (KIA).  The new club was ratified by the King’s University College Students’ Council (KUCSC) in mid-September and held its first Annual General Meeting on October 9, 2020.

KIA will be the first club at King’s dedicated to the many International students at King’s and to the global identity of King's, helping these students celebrate their culture. KIA will also aim to help international students connect to resources and promote interaction between international student bodies with the broader King's community.

It will operate under a mandate of three goals:

  1. To maintain a sense of community among King’s International students
  2. To promote cultural growth and understanding among students
  3. To provide international students with a sense of belonging in the Kings’ community and encourage their involvement in the community

The members of KIA will be holding regular meetings, virtually or in person as the current situation with COVID-19 permits. They also hope to host an end-of-year cultural gala allowing all international students to present elements of their culture.

Students interested in becoming involved with the club may do so by emailing the club or by visiting the King’s International Association’s Instagram or Facebook channel.
