King’s welcomed International alumni back to London over August 9 to 11, 2019 for its first International Alumni Reunion. The event invited International alumni living overseas and in Canada to visit King’s and to connect and learn from each other’s academic and work experiences after graduation.

“It is the first Alumni Reunion event at King’s for international alumni. We had alumni events in different cities in China. It was always a great opportunity for them to meet with faculty and staff officials and catch up with each other. But this event is very unique in that our alumni are not only reconnecting with their professors, but also coming back to King’s which is their first “home” in Canada, with all the unforgettable memories,” says Sarah Li, the Asia Program Officer at King’s.

International alumni and their guests enjoyed a reunion lunch with King’s faculty and staff, campus tours at King’s, an alumni panel, networking, sightseeing in downtown London and local field trips. Tinging Zhang, BA ’16 (Economics), Lili Zhao, BA ’08 (Economics) and Carina Zhou, BA ’08 (Finance & Administration) discussed their lives after King’s during the Alumni Panel, sharing stories about their experience continuing to live in Canada after graduation, their academic success and their careers in the banking industry.

The alumni were welcomed to campus by Dr. David Malloy, King’s newly appointed Principal and by Jana Gordon, Executive Director of Alumni and Development. Several current faculty, staff and students attended the luncheon and panel as well.

King’s thanks all the alumni who travelled back to London to attend the reunion. To see upcoming Alumni events, please visit: https://www.kings.uwo.ca/alumni/events-and-chapters/upcoming-alumni-events/international-alumni-reunion/
