HBK Relay for Life raises $20,000

Congratulations to the HBK Relay for Life team, for achieving their goal of raising $20,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. The event took place March 11-12 from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., but the committee has also been raising money throughout the school year.
"The $20,000 raised by our event helps fund the equivalent of 2000 support phone calls, or 445 days worth of meals for a patient in a Canadian Cancer Society Lodge, or sending 14 children with cancer to a safe, supervised summer camp. Our team has worked tirelessly planning fundraisers since September and appreciates the support from the King's community," says Miranda Currie, one of the HBK commissioners.
