A group of 16 leaders in Catholic education from Brazil spent Monday, October 23 at King’s enjoying a tour of campus and several presentations. Marilyn Mason, Vice-Principal Enrolment Services and Strategic Partnerships  updated the delegation on the summer education and camp opportunities at King’s for international students. Each year, King’s welcomes high school ages students from Brazil to campus for a month of learning and fun activities. This is part of an ongoing partnership between King’s and ANEC, the national association of Catholic education in Brazil.  The group also met with Principal, Dr. David Sylvester and Dr. Sauro Camiletti, Vice-Principal and Academic Dean.

Throughout the conference, representatives from the Catholic Curriculum Corporation, Ontario Ministry of Education, London District Catholic School Board and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board, Ontario Institute for Catholic Education, Catholic Principals’ Council, Ontario College of Teachers, and The Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association gave presentations.

The conference included visiting three Catholic schools in London. The visitors experienced a French Immersion elementary school, and Catholic elementary and secondary schools. School visits included visiting classrooms, learning about the use of technology to support learning, and Special Education strategies among other topics.
