Details on how to find your Media Access Control (MAC) address for adding systems to the network.

To find the MAC address for your system follow the steps below.

Note: The MAC is in the format 00-00-00-00-00-00 or 00:00:00:00:00:00 and only contains the numbers 0-9 or the letters A-F.

1. To find your MAC address, from the Apple menu, select System Preferences

2.  From the View menu in System Preferences, select Network.

3. In the Network window, select your connection “Ethernet" or "Built-in Ethernet”. on the left hand side of screen

4. Then select "Advanced."

5.  In the new window that drops down, select “Hardware”, Ethernet or AirPort tab.

6. The address is the string of letters and numbers next to "MAC Address:", "Ethernet ID:" or "AirPort ID:"

1. Start the command line tool by entering cmd.exe into the search field of the start menu 

2. From the search menu select "cmd"

3.  In the "cmd" window Enter “getmac -v" (no quotation marks) and look for the Local Area Connection

To find the MAC address for your console follow the steps below.

1. On your console, go to My Xbox, and then select "System Settings".

2. Select "Network Settings".

3. Select "Wired Network".

5. On the "Additional Settings" tab on the upper right-hand side.

6. Highlight "Advanced Settings".

8. The “MAC Address” of the Xbox 360 console is displayed.

1. Select Settings on the PS3 Home Menu.

3. Select [System Information]. Here you will find your MAC address. Be sure to note down the entire code, including colons.
