Is the University still processing applications? Are you accepting new applications?

Yes, we continue to process applications and we will continue to accept new applications throughout the summer.

I am concerned I will not meet the conditions on my offer of admission. Will King’s take this into consideration?

If you have applied to King’s for September 2020 and have been adversely impacted due to COVID 19, please complete our Applicant Profile. We will consider the profile in addition to your grades.

Can I defer my offer of admission?

Yes.  To defer your offer, you must first accept your offer of admission and contact us directly at robin.ellis@kings.uwo.ca to request the deferral. You will need to pay a $200 deferral fee to hold your spot; which will be applied to your tuition when you do register in courses.  If you want to begin studies in January or online please let us know as we can make those accommodations as well.

I need to provide English Proficiency Test results but testing centers are closed. What are my options at King’s?

King’s has implemented changes for English Language testing in the wake of testing closures. Please visit our English Proficiency Page. For students applying for September 2020 only we will accept Duolingo results with a minimum score of 115.

What can I expect in September?

We have decided to move ahead with a blended approach of online and in-person teaching methods, that will include physical distancing. The King’s definition of blended learning is a mix of both remote and in-person teaching as conditions permit (live lectures with set times for face-to-face classes, some recorded lectures, posting written documents, podcasts, videos, PowerPoint slides, etc.). All students will have the option to continue studies remotely if they wish.

Will Residence be open and should I submit my deposit?

Yes. In light of COVID-19, the residence experience will be different.  All rooms will be single rooms with assigned washrooms. The residence application process for September 2020 admissions continues as usual. If you are a new student you will receive instructions on application from our residence team. Please contact our Residence team for more specific residence information.
