Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)

Applicants who want to be considered for admission to King’s on the basis of Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations must submit the following:

  1. CAPE Certifying Statement of Performance issued to King’s directly from the CXC. Applications are available on the CXC website. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head or counsellor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.

Note: Preliminary Result Slips will be used for a preliminary evaluation of the final grades until the certificate / certifying statements become available in the fall. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head, or counsellor.

You may be considered for conditional admission on the basis of predicted results. Predicted Unit 2 results, final Unit 1 results and CSEC must be submitted directly to King’s from the institution(s) attended.

Students, counsellors or principles can self-report Final Unit 1 results and Predicted Unit 2 results online.

  1. CSEC (Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate) results are required. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head or counsellor. Notarized copies are not acceptable. GCSE/O-level results may be considered in lieu of CSEC.


You must disclose post-secondary attendance on the application form and submit official transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Office. If you have attended a post-secondary institution, please review the Transfer guidelines for admission.

Admission is competitive and enrolment is limited. Possessing of minimum requirements as listed here should not be viewed as a guarantee of admission.
