Academic Dean's Office (ADO)

The main counter is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m. for in-person appointment requests and information. You can request in-person or virtual appointments.

Accessibility, Counselling and Student Development (ACSD)

The ACSD office is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for in-person appointment requests and information. You can request in-person or virtual appointments.

Alumni and Development

Before Coming to Campus

Everyone must complete the provincial COVID-19 self-assessment before coming to campus. As a student, if you do not pass the screening, you can submit a form using Western’s new Self-Isolation Reporting Tool. This may help you with academic accommodation for any missed tests, etc.

Classes

With some exceptions, in-person classes resume at King’s on Monday, February 28, 2022. King’s is working with Western University and the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) to ensure our campus is as safe as possible. We are monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 cases in London and the surrounding area, and will communicate changes to our operations where necessary.

Communications can be reached weekdays in W052 from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. as well as by email or phone.

Enrolment Services

The front counter in the Enrolment Services office is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Financial Services
Student Financial Services

  • The Student Financial Services Counter is open every day from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The on-campus office provides walk-in services for making payments, dropping off OSAP documents and resetting OSAP usernames and passwords.
  • Student Financial Services is also delivering services remotely between the hours of 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; email them at studentfinance@kings.uwo.ca or call 519-433-3491 ext. 4319.
  • If you need to submit any OSAP documents, you can also upload them to the OSAP portal, mail them to King’s ATTN: Student Financial Services or fax them to 519-963-0975.
  • To book a financial aid appointment, please call the office to set up a virtual appointment.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable is working remotely, but available for all inquiries via email at kucap@kings.uwo.ca. All Accounts Payable functions are still being processed through email and online. Please scan and send invoices, expense claims, etc. to kucap@kings.uwo.ca.

Payroll

The Payroll office is operating remotely and can be reached via email at payroll@kings.uwo.ca.

Food Services/Aramark

The Thames Market is open for in-person seated dining, as well as take-out, from Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Orders can be placed on the Hey Chef app. Download Hey Chef on the App Store or Google Play. Use the access code: KINGS.

In all eating spaces, you may remove your mask while seated for eating and drinking.

Café '54 and Subway remain closed at this time.

The Games Room

The Games Room in the Student Life Centre has returned to full capacity as of February 28, 2022.

King’s Connection

The King's Connection is open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. for King’s swag, including hoodies, sweaters, T-shirts, water bottles, caps, etc., from the King’s Connection. You can also order items from their online store.

The Fitness Centre is open for full use. You must wear a mask while in the fitness centre.

King's International

The King's International office is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for in-person support and information.

King's ITS

Remote hours: Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

In-person appointments are available Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., but must be booked in advance.

King’s Library

The Cardinal Carter Library is open for quiet and silent studying and all services are running as normal. You will be required to wear a mask. No food is permitted in the library; however lidded beverages are welcome, with mask removal allowed only when actively drinking.

Masks

Despite changes in provincial regulations, masks continue to be required indoors on campus  at King's. This decision has been made in consultation with Western University and the Middlesex-London Health Unit. At a minimum, you must wear a three-ply non-medical mask while in shared spaces on campus. Higher-grade masks should be worn as they become available. You must wear a mask in the classroom and all common spaces including shared offices and meeting rooms. If you have a private office and are alone, you can remove your mask if the door is closed. Masks are available from Central Services in Wemple 002.

MEM: The School of Management, Economics and Mathematics

The School of MEM has moved to predominantly online delivery for the entire Winter 2022 term because of other considerations that were laid out in the Fall 2021 term. We are maintaining remote access to all of our courses for all MEM students. There will be some on-campus experiences for students in the School of MEM. Please check with your professor regarding in-person opportunities. You can find more information on the King’s website and the event calendar.

Physical Plant

The health and safety of our campus community is our top priority. Rigorous cleaning schedules are in place across all spaces on campus. 

Requests for Accommodations

King's understands that there may be compassionate and accessibility challenges both for faculty and students to attend class. Students seeking compassionate or medical accommodations should contact the the Academic Dean’s Office (ADO) or Accessibility Services (ACSD) at King’s. Faculty should contact the Vice-President Academic or Human Resources.

Residence

Residence is open as usual. King’s residence staff is working closely with public health officials to monitor developments related to COVID-19 and to ensure residence practices are in keeping with the evolving COVID-19 situation. We will keep students and families informed about changes.

Capacity limits have been removed in residence rooms, lounges, study rooms and food service areas as of February 28, 2022.

Some of the key COVID-19 health and safety measures that have been in place all year in the residence community will continue, including:

  • Single-room placements for all residents to limit density in all residence areas
  • Vaccination requirements
  • Three-ply non-medical masks required in shared residence spaces (hallways, washrooms, lounges, elevators, study rooms, food service spaces, etc.)
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization of common areas
  • Guests from outside of the King’s residence system will not be permitted

Self-Assessment

All members of the King’s community, including students, faculty and staff are required to complete the daily self-assessment every day before coming to campus.

Shuttle Bus Service

With the return to on-campus learning, the King’s Brescia Shuttle is increasing service. Please go to King’s/Brescia bus service website for details and follow @Kings_Shuttle for any service delays that may occur.

Study Spaces

All study spaces at King's are open at full capacity with masks required. Food and drink are permitted in these areas and you may remove your mask only when seated for eating or drinking.  

Vaccination – Get Boosted!

To be on campus, you must be fully vaccinated. Western’s on-campus vaccination and testing centre is open in Thames Hall, and all services are available for walk-in clients – you do not need to book an appointment for vaccination or rapid testing. Please note that PCR testing is no longer available as of March 4. If you haven’t yet received your booster shot, we strongly encourage you to do so as you are able.

Western University Campus Recreation

Western Sport and Recreation is open for in-person programming and varsity teams have returned to train. Scheduled games resumed on February 9.

Sport and Recreation is offering a hybrid model for programming and will continue to offer some digital programming including live digital fitness classes.

Specific details around team training will be communicated to student athletes via coaches as it becomes available.
