Ramadan Information
We at King's wish a blessed Ramadan to Muslim people in our community and across the world. Muslims will be fasting each day in this period of deep introspection. May we all find peace, health, and unity in this holy month as we look to the future with hope. Ramadan Mubarak!
King's recognizes the importance of Ramadan to our Muslim students, and has made special accommodations for this holy month.
Exams
In conjunction with Western’s Exam Central, King’s has scheduled a dedicated Ramadan exam room at King’s from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A dedicated prayer room has also been arranged for those students who opt to write their exams in the Ramadan exam room. Students will be able to stop their exam clock to pray and will not be permitted to leave the exam prior to 7:30 p.m.
To register to write an exam in the Ramadan exam room, you must make a request through the Academic Consideration Request form. From there, the Exam Office will contact you about your booking for King’s exams that are to be administered on the King’s campus. For Western, Brescia, or Huron exams that are to be administered in a Ramadan exam room, the scheduled exam location is Elborn College Room 1255.
