Located in the field beside Alumni Court. Hockey arena, volleyball and basketball courts and a soccer field are available for student use. Students can book the sports pad through email or can use on a drop-in basis when available.
A firepit is also on site at the Sports Pad.
Yoga classes will be every Wednesday from noon–1 p.m in the Reflection Room (located in the SLC)
Various sports gear is available for residents to sign out for a 24-hour period. Although the inventory varies a bit, usually the following are available: footballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, basketballs
The KUSC runs several fitness classes such as zumba, crossfit and cardio kickboxing.

The King’s Wheels program is operated by KUCSC. Students can borrow a bike and helmet for 24 hours from the Residence Information Desk.
Memberships are $10 annually and can be purchased at the King’s Connection.
A valid student card must be shown when purchasing a membership.

How to lock your bike properly
- Attach lock through rear wheel and around part of the frame.
- Make sure to lock it to your frame with the lock facing down.
Note: Use the smallest U lock that will fit.
- Watch a 2 minute video about how to lock your bike using a U lock.
- Loop through the back wheel and part of the frame.
- Make sure there is no slack in the frame.
This convenient, on-campus fitness space has a number of elliptical trainers, treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machine, a TRX system and a functional training system where dozens of upper and lower body exercises can be performed.
The Fitness Area is fully equipped with lockers for day use, change rooms and showers. You will need to use your OneCard to access the Fitness Area.
King’s students have access to all the facilities at Western including aquatics, fitness classes, squash court, drop-in sports such as basketball and badminton and more. Visit Western Campus Recreation for details.
The Reflection Room, located on the second floor of the Darryl J. King Student Life Centre, is a multipurpose space that students can use for reflection, quiet study and activities such as yoga and meditation.
Yoga and meditation
Drop in meditation is held Mondays and Fridays from 12:30 – 1 p.m. in the Reflection Room.
