Prof. Mitch Rowat
Prof. Rowat studied at the University of Ottawa’s Department of English, receiving the Hons. B.A. (1995) and M.A. (1996), before undertaking additional graduate work at Western, as a recipient of a doctoral SSHRCC research grant. In 2001, after being nearly crushed to death by a falling dissertation, Prof. Rowat made a (nearly) full recovery, going on to teach courses in introductory English, narrative, literary theory, and writing. At King’s, Prof. Rowat teaches Writing 1020, Introduction to University Essay Writing and assists with Film 1022, Introduction to Film Studies. In his “life” outside the university, Mr. Rowat works as a church musician and accompanist.
