Bad Animals

On February 2, 2018, local musicians, Jenny Berkel, Aistis Cepinskas, and Colleen and Steve Murphy of Westminster Park, gathered to perform and field questions on the topic of local music and social change. King’s English professor Jeremy Greenway acted as MC and led a stimulating conversation about how to promote London as a community that inspires and supports local artists.

Research and Creativity

Research and Creativity: Transforming Research in Creative Ways consisted of a week-long art exhibit, and lectures from three guest speakers. Artwork submitted by members of the King’s, Western, Fanshawe, and London communities was displayed in the Spreit Learning Commons March 19 – 23, 2018. On March 23, King's Social Work professor Bharati Sethi and her colleague Dr. Snezana Ratkovic from Brock University, as well as Toronto writer and photographer Vincenzo Pietropaolo, demonstrated the effectiveness of photography and photo-voice pieces as tools for raising awareness and influencing policy.
