Hundreds of eager and excited first year students (and new to King’s students) are about to make King’s their new home! The Bridging Program for International students begins August 31, followed by Orientation Week September 3 - 9. O-Week will include some traditional favourites and a number of new academic initiatives.
You need an O-Pass to gain access to all the events going on during Orientation Week. Most incoming students will not have to buy an Orientation Pass (O-Pass) because it is included in their tuition under “Orientation Fee”.
Monday: Move-in day!! Come meet your roommates, or your new off-campus friends, and enjoy a fun day of exploring your new home! There will be a free BBQ lunch and a games night to end your first day at King’s.
Tuesday: Opening Ceremonies! The coolest, biggest event you’ll ever see. Come with us to Western to meet the rest of the incoming 6000 first-years all across the Western Campuses. Show your school pride in a giant cheer off!
Wednesday: Academic day is a great way to prepare you for your first day of school. Come meet professors, sit in on mini-lectures, and learn about the different resources available to help you succeed.
Thursday: Get ready for the coolest event of the week – Affilifest! An awesome night where the three affiliates, Huron, Brescia and King’s, get together and have a blast. You won’t regret coming out and meeting new friends from other campuses.
Friday: Celebrate your hard work on your first week of class by coming out to Western's Closing Ceremonies, which is another giant cheer-off! Afterwards there will be a variety show and carnival!
Saturday: O-Serves day - you get to step outside of the “Western Bubble” and learn about London. Every student across Western heads out to a different volunteer opportunity in the city. This means we get to give back, while also learning about everything that London has to offer! After this you get to finish off this great day with an awesome concert at night!
Sunday: Come out to our King’s specific Closing Ceremonies where we show pictures and videos from O-Week, and share some great stories. There’s no better way to finish off your first week at King’s.
The complete list of events will be posted as we get closer to O-Week.
