King’s appreciates our students who come from all across the globe to learn on our campus.  The Fall Term Student Appreciation Week will take place November 18-25, 2019. There will be many events taking place to not only show our appreciation to King’s students but focus on their health and wellness.

“We want our students to know that we appreciate them and value their tremendous contributions to the King’s community,” says Doreen Vautour, Associate Dean of Students. She adds Student Appreciation Week allows King’s to recognize and support students at a time when it can be busy for them. “It is a nice community builder,” she says.

Throughout Student Appreciation Week, there will be special pricing on food and other treats, some free parking days (see details below), a special “Ask Dean Joe”, as well as activities to support student health and wellness including massages, therapy dogs and a colouring station. The week will extend to Monday, November 25 for the Christopher Perrin Beatty Lecture in Recognition of King's Outstanding Teaching Faculty, featuring Dr. Brian Patton and the Student Award Ceremony where dozens of students will receive bursaries and financial awards.

There will also be prize draws, with ballots available at the Academic Dean’s Office, Enrolment Services, Student Affairs Office, Campus Ministry, Residence Office, International Office, Student Financial Services Office, Central Services, King’s Connection, the Cardinal Carter Library and the ITS Helpdesk. The prize drawing will take place on Monday, November 25.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to post scenes from Student Appreciation Week on social media, using the hashtag #fromkingswithlove.
