As course registration continues for returning students, King’s has a new Live Chat feature on the King’s website, immediately connecting them with a representative from Enrolment Services. This feature, available 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, provides prompt and accurate answers regarding registration, delivery of courses and more to help ease the moving online process for students.

According to Coordinator of On-Campus Events Aziz Sayegh, the Live Chat is best suited for upper year students looking for assistance with enrolment, for whom registration operates in July on staggered dates depending on year. Third-year students can choose courses the week of July 13, and second-year students the following week, starting July 20th. The tool is not directed at first year students, as they have access to Summer Academic Orientation for course registration, however the Live Chat can direct anyone with a request to other resources.

“Under normal circumstances, our front desk and our phone lines would be the place for students to reach out. Unfortunately, due to current circumstances and the College’s partial closure, we needed to develop another way for students to seek assistance.,” says Sayegh.

A Moving Online FAQ is also available to those who have questions about starting their fall semester with the new blended approach to learning. This document provides specific information regarding online and blended courses, accessibility services accommodations, and required technology.

Also available to students is the King’s Registration Guide 2020-2021, which acts as a reference for all components of the registration process. This document outlines helpful websites to bookmark and links to every resource that students require to get themselves enrolled in the fall semester.

The fall semester is set to begin on September 9, 2020.
