Cultural diversity, student and staff talent and community engagement will be celebrated as part of the 17th Annual Cultural Performing Arts Festival on March 4, 2020, from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Joanne and Peter Kenny Theatre.

There will be over 18 cultural performances, featuring performers from King’s, Western University, the affiliate colleges and the extended London community .

Those in attendance will see a variety of performances, including traditional dancing, singing, and instrumental music. The entertainment represents cultures from around the world, including Caribbean, Korean, Latin, Chinese, India, Palestinian, and Burundian.

“This event promotes diversity on campus as it showcases the cultures that represent our students,” says Olivia Yusuf, International Programs Coordinator, King’s International.

“King’s continues to celebrate and welcome many cultures that contribute their perspectives and worldviews that make our campus vibrant and diverse,” says Joe Henry, Dean of Students.

Currently, King’s has 870 international students on campus from over 30 different countries.

The Cultural Performing Arts Festival is the product of the hard work of King’s International with support from sponsors that include Aramark, CultureWorks, King’s University College ITS, and King’s University College Student Council.

Admission is free. Donations are accepted to support the King’s chapter of the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) will be accepted.
