On February 8, 2019 King’s International Office will be hosting its annual Lunar New Year Celebration and Dinner in the Vitali Student Lounge.

As part of the festivities, there will be a dinner featuring both Vietnamese and Chinese food.

“There will be a few speeches as well as a small talk about the importance of the festival but it is fairly an informal event,” says Olivia Yusuf, International Programs Coordinator.

Approximately 60-70 students attend the Lunar New Year Celebration annually. All members of the King’s community are welcome to attend this free event, but are requested to pre-registering with Yusuf at Olivia.Yusuf@kings.uwo.ca

“The students enjoy the event and it is one of their favourite events of the year,” says Yusuf.

Lunar New Year is a celebration of the New Year for various countries including China, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, and many more countries in Asia.
