The National Humanities Center has announced its 2020-2021 residential fellows, and there are two philosophers among them.

Christopher Moore, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Classics at Pennsylvania State University, has been awarded the Robert F. and Margaret S. Goheen Fellowship to work on his project, The Virtue of Agency: Sôphrosunê and Selfhood in Ancient Greece.

Georgia Mouroutsou, Associate Professor of Philosophy at King’s University College at Western University Canada, has been awarded the Philip L. Quinn Fellowship to work on her project, Plato’s Twofold Dialectic of Pleasure: Critical Dialogue with Hedonists and Critical Analysis of Pleasure.

In total, 33 fellowships across a range of humanities disciplines were awarded.
