The following are basic King’s ID card policies. They have been set to ensure authenticity and accuracy of the King’s ID card system:
  • All King’s ID cards are and remain the property of King’s University College.
  • King’s ID card users are fully responsible for any and all purchases made using their King’s ID cards.
  • Students must come in person and provide their student number and photo identification ie: Drivers’ License, Passport or Canadian Citizenship Card.
  • Faculty or Staff requiring a King’s ID card must provide a letter of appointment and photo identification ie: Drivers’ License, Passport or Canadian Citizenship Card, or another government issued document with your picture and name.
  • Guests requesting a King’s ID card must come in person and provide photo identification ie: Drivers’ License, Passport or Canadian Citizenship Card, or another government issued document with your picture and name. There will be a $15 charge for a guest King’s ID card and the completion of a King’s ID card Verification Form is necessary. Completion of the King’s ID card Verification Form may also require authorization by the Department for which you require the guest card. Guest King’s ID card holders must adhere to all rules and regulations associated with the use of the King’s ID card. The “GUEST” designation does NOT classify the holder of the King’s ID card as a King’s University College member with any King’s University College rights or privileges.
  • King’s ID cards are to be used ONLY by the person that they are issued to. If used by anyone else, for any reason, the card may be taken away. This policy is to ensure the personal security of each card holder.
  • If your King’s ID card is broken, or the card has become demagnetized, you must come in person with the entire card (even if it’s in pieces) to the King’s ID card office and a new card will be issued free of charge.
  • A charge will apply to all replacements for cards damaged by punching a hole in them, or if the card has been defaced deliberately or wilfully damaged.
  • If your status changes, i.e. faculty change, registration status, or student to staff/faculty, you must come in person and surrender your original King’s ID card to receive an updated King’s ID card free of charge.
