The past 90 years have witnessed the establishment, development, and remarkable achievements of Hohai University. We are very proud of being the first institution of higher education in China focusing on a wide array of engineering subjects, water resources in particular. After over 90 years of development, Hohai University is now a state-level comprehensive university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of China, with the discipline of water resources as its distinctive feature and emphasis laid on the coordinated development of many disciplines, including engineering, science, management, economics, law, and liberal arts.
