Prayer with the Songs of Taizé

located in Burgundy, France. The community has grown significantly, now consisting of over 100 monks of different Christian denominations from over 30 countries. Their community serves as a sign of unity and reconciliation between divided peoples. At the heart of Taizé is a simple form of meditative prayer consisting of simple harmonically-rich chants, silence, scripture, and prayers of intercession.   The short chants are repeated again and again so that it allows one to be drawn deeper into prayer. Visit www.taize.fr to find more information about the community, their way of life, work, and prayer. This prayer is non-denominational and is free and open to the public, so everyone is welcome!
